Update on our aid for Ukraine

For weeks now, our colleagues in Ukraine have been tending to their animals night and day. And we are working hard to bring them the help they need.

“It is very important that we also take care of our staff and try to ensure their daily lives are tolerable despite the very difficult circumstances,” said Kyiv Zoo Director Kirill Trantin when we spoke to him this afternoon. “That is the only way they will maintain the physical and mental strength they need to get through this situation.” The team in Kyiv are doing everything they can to ensure that the monkeys, birds, zebras and all the other approx. 4,000 animals at the zoo are well cared for.

For weeks now, our colleagues in Ukraine have been tending to their animals night and day. And we are working hard to bring them the help they need. Right now, the final pallets are being loaded with special animal feed, veterinary equipment and food for the team in Kyiv. The generous donations we have received have allowed us to also supply other zoos in the region with aid, as well as to provide care for abandoned pets.

We are incredibly grateful for your support.
