Current restrictions

A modern aquarium is never finished. It should undergo constant improvements to make it even better and more beautiful for animals and visitors alike. As a result, individual tanks and terrariums may be closed when you visit Aquarium Berlin. Here you can find an overview of all current restrictions.

Coronavirus precautions

Tickets available online (online registration for annual passes required)

Certified, negative (quick) test result from the past 24 hours (all visitors aged 6+)*

OR: Proof of vaccination (from the 15th day after recieving the final shot)**

OR: Proof of recovery by positive PCR test result (at least 28 days old, not older than 6 months) required**

All visistors (aged 6+) must wear a FFP2 mask during the entire visit***

Registration for contact tracking mandatory

Food and drink outlets closed

No public feeding sessions

* Not sufficient to take the test independently at home – the certified test (free of charge) can be taken on site; must be presented together with photo ID

** After a recovery from a Covid-19 infection more than 6 months ago; proof of having received the first vaccine dose together with positive PCR test result is sufficient; each must be presented together with photo ID

*** For visitors aged from 6 to 14 years to wear a medical mask is sufficient

Aquarium is open

Aquarium Berlin is open. Due to the implementation of the current infection protection measures regulation of the state of Berlin, wearing a FFP2 face mask is compulsory during the entire visit. In addition, a visit is only possible for tested, vaccinated or recovered people. You can find further information here.
