Current restrictions

Like at any modern aquarium, work at Aquarium Berlin is never really done. We are constantly trying to improve the Aquarium to make it a better place and more beautiful for animals and visitors alike. That is why you may come across construction work during your visit. Below you can find information on current construction projects and other restrictions.

Construction works in the Aquarium

In the course of a general modernization, there are construction works in the Aquarium that cause restrictions – the following areas are affected currently:

  • The passage between the Zoo and the Aquarium is closed. The entrance and exit of the Aquarium are therefore located on the side facing „Budapester Straße“ only (also applies to combined tickets). Please also note the signage on site.
  • The third floor – the home of insects and amphibians – is closed.
  • The regular elevator inside the building is closed. Alternatively, another elevator is available. Please note the signage on site.
  • The popular Torchlight Tours will restart in autumn 2024.
