Papuan monitor moves into Aquarium Berlin

Aquarium Berlin is delighted to welcome a new resident: a male Papuan monitor who has moved here from Zoo d’Amnéville in France.

The monitor lizard is 12 years old and measures over two metres in length. Papuan monitors live in trees and have an extremely powerful bite and very sharp teeth that are much longer than those of other monitor species.

We will post some videos over the coming days so you can learn more about the new arrival.
